Message from TIPS-NEC President

Happy New Year! I hope you had time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.

As we step into this new year, I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as President of Texas Indo-Physician Society (TIPS). This organization’s commitment to advancing healthcare access, equity, and impact is something I deeply admire, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me to help lead us forward.

This year brings opportunity—opportunity to grow our impact, strengthen our partnerships, and continue showing up for the communities we serve. None of that happens without the dedication, compassion, and drive of each of you. Your time, energy, and belief in our mission are what make this organization truly special.

In the months ahead, I look forward to working closely with all of you, hearing your ideas, and building together. My goal is to lead with transparency, collaboration, and purpose, while ensuring we stay grounded in the values that brought us here in the first place.

Mentorship Program for Young Physicians: This initiative was launched by Dr. Sumana Gangi in 2024. we will continue this initiative this year and this program aims to guide our young physicians in training and international medical graduates, providing mentorship to help identify their interests in different specialties. Furthermore, we are committed to offering financial support to those in need. 

We’re already planning some amazing events for the year ahead, starting with our First Quarter member social mixer on March 7th, 2026—a fun networking event you won’t want to miss.  More information on the meeting will follow soon.  Here’s to new opportunities, meaningful gatherings, and achievements ahead.
