Dear Esteemed Members of the Texas Indo American Physician Society,Β

Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As we embrace the opportunities of a new year, I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our mission of promoting excellence in healthcare, fostering professional collaboration, and advancing the well-being of our communities. The challenges of the past year have only strengthened our collective resolve and dedication.

Reflecting on the achievements of 2023 under the exemplary leadership of Dr.  Guttigoli, our society marked significant milestones. From insightful medical  conferences to knowledge-sharing sessions and impactful community  outreach programs, we have collectively elevated healthcare standards and  positively impacted the lives of those we serve.

Membership Initiative – Welcoming New Members to our Thriving Community: Now, as we embark on 2024, I am inspired by the incredible  strength of our society, boasting a membership of 900 dedicated  professionals. However, I believe there is still more we can achieve. Our goal  for this year is to expand our reach and extend a warm welcome to new  members, especially those who have recently moved to North Texas.

DREAM Campaign – Driving South Asian Heart Health: Our commitment to  promoting South Asian heart health continues through our DREAM campaign.  This initiative involves educational seminars at health fairs, outreach to  employers to raise awareness about heart disease risks in South Asians, and  virtual educational sessions. Your active participation is crucial, be it  contributing expertise to seminars, volunteering at health fairs, or engaging  virtually.

First Health Fair at Dallas County Police Department: I am delighted to  share that our first health fair will be hosted at the Dallas County Police  Department. This provides a unique opportunity to create awareness and  engage with the community on heart health.

New Mentorship Program for Young Physicians: In addition to the DREAM  campaign, we are introducing a new initiativeβ€”a mentorship program. This  program aims to guide our young physicians in training and international  medical graduates, providing mentorship to help identify their interests in  different specialties. Furthermore, we are committed to offering financial  support to those in need.

Collaboration with DCMS – CME Conference on May 11th: We are excited  to announce our collaboration with DCMS for another CME conference on  May 11th, focusing on lifestyle and physician wellness. This partnership  underscores our shared commitment to continuous learning and professional  development.

First Quarter Meeting – Feb 24, 2024, at Marq in Southlake: Mark your  calendars for our first-quarter meeting on February 24, 2024, at Marq in  Southlake. We anticipate an evening of networking, fun, and enjoying the  Valentine’s spirit.

Your active participation in these initiatives and events will contribute to the  success and vibrancy of our society. Together, let us make a positive impact on  the health and well-being of our community.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication, and I eagerly anticipate meeting each  one of you at our upcoming events.
